Message from Executive Director, Mike Roeth
It's time to complete your registration and make travel plans to join us in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 26th. This latest Trucking Efficiency workshop will focus on four technologies -- tire pressure monitoring systems, 6x2 axles, idle reduction solutions, and automated transmissions -- and the benefits each technology offers, as well as best practices for implementation. The workshops are highly interactive events where representatives from trucking fleets, tractor and trailer builders, component suppliers, and others, roll up their sleeves and openly discuss -- even debate -- the advantages and challenges of adopting various technologies.
Join us to work together with other industry professionals in determining how to improve the efficiency of tractor-trailers and cut fuel costs significantly. The Little Rock event will include end-users such as: Bison Transport, CR England, Frito Lay, Maverick, Ryder, UPS, USExpress, and Werner. Manufacturers including Cummins, Crosspoint, Daimler, Doran, Great Dane, Hendrickson, Idle Smart, Idle Air, Kenworth Sales Co, Mack Truck, Navistar, Meritor, Meritor Wabco and ThermoKing, are already signed up and will be in attendance.
Rodney Slater, Secretary of Transportation from 1997 - 2001, will keynote the event. A panel of leaders will discuss challenges and successes as they strive to dramatically increase trucking efficiency. Read about the event here and register to join us! Also, feel free to call or email me with any questions or comments. We look forward to having you with us!!
