Welcome to the summer edition of the Friends of the Big Issue in the North newsletter.
While many of us make plans to enjoy our summer holidays, for the people we work with it can be a daily struggle to move on with their lives.
Gavin featured in the Big Issue in the North Trust's Christmas Campaign and told us at the time his hope for 2014 was to find a place to live.
Thanks to his own determination and the support he received from staff in the Sheffield office, Gavin is now in accommodation. But it has not all been plain sailing, as many vendors like Gavin struggle to maintain their tenancies once they have secured them.
