This Sunday evening, we will have a Special Called Family (Business) Meeting at 5:00 PM in the Outreach Center.  The purpose of this meeting is to make two recommendations: (1) to extend a call to the Minister to Youth candidate that the Search Committee will recommend Sunday evening, and (2) to create the Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Family position.  There will be NO votes this Sunday evening--just the formal recommendations.  If we decide to move these recommendations to a vote, we will vote on the Minister to Youth on Sunday, July 13, and the creation of the new Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Family position on Sunday, July 20---both votes by secret ballot during the morning worship services.

Regarding the recommended Minister to Youth candidate, we are very excited about bringing this recommendation.  This person has been highly recommended by some of the top youth ministry people in the state, has many years of experience, and we feel will be a great addition to the FBC staff team.  We will present his name on Sunday night and share the reasons why we believe he is the man God has chosen for us.  If things move forward, we will bring he and his wife up on Wednesday, July 9, to give you all the chance to meet them before we vote on the 13th.  Please make plans to join us for these exciting recommendations Sunday evening in the OC.
