FAMILY FUN NIGHT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!Join us on Sunday night, July 13, 5-7 PM, for a night of fun for all ages! The night will feature games - such as kickball, parachute play, and an inflatables. There will be face painting, great food, and exceptional music. Plan now to invite your friends, neighbors, and co-workers and bring your chairs and blankets. This is a community event and we are hoping to share the good news of First Christian with our neighbors. Can you help? An event like this takes many, many volunteers. There are openings for set-up, cooks, game leaders and game players. Please invite your friends, neighbors, and people you may run into during the course of your day. This is an Evangelism Mission event. We hope to share it with our community.

After several months of hard work, First Christian Church's new and improved website is up and running. There are still some kinks to be worked out, but all in all we are very, very pleased with the new design. Please say a word of thanks to Jeff Eady and Charles Daniels for shepherding this project.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
July 23 - 27
Explore and experience how the ordinary becomes extraordinary with God! The adventure includes music that will wow your ears, interactive Bible fun, super science, cool crafts, delicious snacks, great games, and more. We will Imagine with God, Build with God, Grow with God, Work with God, and Walk with God. On Friday, July 25, we’ll invite parents to join us at 11:30 AM for a musical performance from our children and to receive a special gift. Blessing Boxes
Cardboard Blessing Boxes were distributed in the spring to each family at church. We ask that when you feel God's blessing, you place a gift to God in your Blessing Box (coins, cash, check). Blessing Boxes will be collected at the end of the summer, with proceeds supporting our BackPack Buddies Ministry.

Thanks so much to each one of you who submitted ideas for my “Any Requests?” sermon series. I received about 25 different suggestions, and narrowed it down to the following four subjects:
July 6: What Does it Mean to be Saved?
July 13: Is it OK to Argue With God?
July 20: Does God Want Us to be Poor?
July 27: How Do I Make Sense of the Trinity?
Again, I am so very grateful to each of you for taking the time to share your ideas, and I hope to address them all in one way or another, both in this series and through other sermons in the coming months and years.
