Hiba Al-Kinani in Ottawa
Presented by Duniya Studio
Arab-Canadian dancer Hiba Al-Kinani is known for her unique and creative style and is a sought-after belly dance instructor. As an Arab-Canadian, Hiba has always had an interest in the exotic Middle Eastern Arts and in 2002 founded Rakasseh Studio: School of Cultural Dance Arts specializing in Middle Eastern Dance.
10:00 AM-12:00 Noon: Headbanging Ayoubi – learn exciting technique, hair tosses, and movements related to three styles based on variations of the ayoub rhythm; Zaar, Khaleegy and Iraqi.
12:30 PM-2:30 PM: Advanced Technique – learn exciting variations and technique, and master the art of layering.

Finally, Mascarie Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is proud to present Ottawa’s first Tribal Cafe, an evening of musical and dance wonderment. Featuring the haunting melodies of cello-vocal powerhouse, The Visit, followed by new solo and group choreographies by the ladies of Mascarie, the evening is sure to enchant and delight!
Surprise guests (who will be shared closer to the date!) will help immerse you into the spectacular and magical world of this Tribal Cafe.

Halyma’s Summer Playtime:half class/half practice
Drop in for bellydance time in a studio space with mirrors.
It is Air conditioned- though we don’t always feel it.
I would teach a bit, and then you would have free time to play. And if you just want to practice on your own, that’s fine too – the fee is to cover the room rental fees.
You’ll have room to practice your own thing with veils, wings, zills stick, almost anything!
