Arts and History Grant Program Accepting Applications
Boise, Idaho – The Boise City Department of Arts & History (A&H) announces the opening of its annual grant program starting June 18, 2014. Applications will be accepted through August 1, 2014 at 3:00pm. The grant funding is for projects and initiatives that take place between October 1, 2014 and September 1, 2015. Award-recipients will be announced in September 2014.
The City of Boise is committed to supporting local cultural organizations and individual projects as illustrated in one of the City’s key strategic goals: To “foster an environment where learning, the arts, culture, and recreation thrive.†Applicants can apply for grant amounts between $1000 and $5000 in thousand dollar increments.
Grants are awarded annually based on quality within the artistic or historic medium, management, and degree of community accessibility or potential to reach a wide audience within the City of Boise. The overall intention is to fund projects or initiatives that will ultimately contribute toward making Boise a more lasting, inovative, and vibrant city through arts and history.
The Department will offer three identical workshops for potential applicants in the River Room, Third Floor, City Hall (150 N. Capitol Blvd). Attendees are welcome to bring a snack or meal.
- Workshop 1 – Friday, June 20, 2014 (11:00am-1:00pm)
- Workshop 2 – Tuesday, June 24, 2014 (5:30pm-7:30pm)
- Workshop 3 - Wednesday, June 25, 2014 (11:00am-1:00pm)
