Arts & History Sesqui-Shop Artist-In-Residence
 
Boise, Idaho – The Arts & History Sesqui-Shop seeks applications for a resident artist opportunity to explore themes related to water and Boise’s local environment during the months of October and November (2014). One artist-in-resident will be selected to use the Arts & History Sesqui-Shop as a working studio during the month of October, which will entail engaging the public through demos and other activities. The newly developed work created in this process will be exhibited through the month of November.

Visual artists of all mediums will be considered. Artists with strong installation skills preferred. Artist will be required to host one lecture related to their project as well as develop other engagement activities throughout the two-month residency. The $5,000 stipend includes all artist fees & material costs.

ABOUT THE ARTS & HISTORY SESQUI-SHOP
The Arts & History Sesqui-Shop is a community cultural space for exploring and enhancing Boise's sense of place. The Shop originated out of Boise's Sesquicentennial (BOISE 150) celebration as the "pop-up" BOISE 150 headquarters. Based on its initial success the Sesqui-Shop has been funded by Boise's Mayor & Council for an additional year.
