Walnut's Roots

The Walnut-Melbourne story is one of family.

Started by best friends turned sisters-in-law, Walnut-Melbourne was founded in Australia with the aim of providing a high-quality, affordable alternative to expensive European children's shoes. Walnut shoes are classic and comfortable, while maintaining a playful, fun and practical style.

Walnut-Melbourne was brought to the Philippines by cousins turned best friends and business partners. Sharlene was living in Australia with daughter Harper, 4, and her son Calvin, 7, when she fell in love with Walnut shoes. She shared them with her cousin and best friend Christine, who loved the shoes just as much for her 4-year-old daughter, Mikka. Thus the love of Walnut was planted in the Philippines. A few years later the cousins are happily sharing their favorite Walnut shoes with other Filipinos who can't get enough of the fun prints, comfortable styles, and practical prices.
