Blogging about MYC

MYC was recently featured on a blog about nature, religion, and spirituality, "EdenKeeper."  The post even included some black-and-white pictures from our early days in the 1960s.  Read the full blog post here.

Do you know about the Quraishi Scholarship?

At our 50th Anniversary celebration, we announced the launch of a new camper scholarship named for MYC's founders, Marghoob and Iffat Quraishi.  Seeded with donations from that event, the Quraishi Scholarship now provides full registration waivers for deserving campers who enhance the diversity of our MYC family. Your continued support will help keep this scholarship going.  Please donate to the Quraishi scholarship fund and help us bring the MYC experience to a whole new group of young American Muslims.

Blast from the Past

Who are these campers?

Hint: The year was 1994.

MYC was held that year at Camp Morning Star in Angeles Oaks Forest, and the theme was "The Arts and Sciences of Islam."

MYC 2014 Sneak Peek

2014 Theme:

"Assalamu Alaikum - Wa Alaikum Assalam:
Initiating and Reciprocating Peace"

We say these words all the time, but what do they mean to us and to the person we're greeting with them?

MYC 2014 will focus on really understanding these words and how to live by them. We will explore the many ways of activating peace in our lives and take a close look at dealing with obstacles to peace.

By the end of the week, God-willing, as these words tumble from your lips, they will also make you smile.

Here are just a few of our confirmed teachers and counselors for MYC 2014!
