Energy Density Mapping survey

smeSpire would like to invite you and your colleagues to participate to this survey:

http://snipurl.com/energymapping

The goal of this 10-minute questionnaire is to collect information about the need for automatic large-scale assessment of building energy behaviour based on “location”  information (geodata) available from public registers (e.g. cadastre, urban planning data etc.).

The idea is that the information on energy performances, if georeferenced, can be used to automatically create urban-scale “energy density maps” (or simply “energy maps”), useful inputs for planning activities and large-scale energy purposes.

Energy maps are normally GIS-based and often prepared at the neighborhood, local authority or sub-regional scale .
An energy map might be used in a variety of ways:
  • District heating network
  • Energy strategy
  • Identifying energy solutions
  • Priority projects
  • Carbon compliance/allowable solutions
  • Inform growth options
