Thanks again to all of the amazing volunteers and to Big Bubba's for the cooking and carving expertise!

St. John's will host the second annual Strawberry Social on Sunday, July 6th to start our summer of parish-wide combined services.

This is a wonderful opportunity to invite your neighbours and friends. A double-sided invitation is attached HERE. Please consider printing off some of the invitations and handing them out in your neighbourhood.

Please also remember there will be a special opportunity to thank and honour Cathy Yocom for her 25 Years of service at the parish during this service!
Thank You to everyone who provided muffins! As always they were well received (and quickly gone!)

This Wednesday both Holly and myself are unavailable at the garden due to various graduation festivities (Holly for her graduation, me for Lily's graduation). Please feel free to come on Wednesday between 4pm and 7pm and gather with whoever is there.

Other Parish Activities...

St. James Scattering Garden: (If you would like to participate in the building of this new sacred space please contact Charlene Johnston at 470-0142 or reddoggiegirl@gmail.com) Charlene is also on the continual look-out for people to help with some of the work in the cemetery. Each of our church cemeteries should have a Cemetery Committee and we have not had a full committee at St. James for years. I would invite you to consider how important our cemetery is to our community and if you are able give Charlene a call to help out.

Cameos of Carp at St. Paul's United: Glenda Longworth and the team at St. Paul's are looking for submissions for their next theatre production of Cameos of Carp. If you have a historical story that you could write and share with their team for this years play please contact Glenda at (glendalongworth@rogers.com.) You can take a look at their submission requirements by clicking HERE

Summer Office Hours:  Please remember that the summer hours for the office begin next week and continue until the last week of August. The office will only be open from 9am - Noon on Thursdays.

Youth Activities...

Sabbath...
I admit to be totally ready for a summer that will include some sabbath. It has been a very busy year and I am welcoming a time to recharge. As most of my work hours will be spent in my home office I am also looking forward to being able to plan out the year ahead including a variety of exciting ministry and formation activities for us all this Fall and Winter. Our E-News will not go out as frequently as it does from September through to June and I will be taking some time off.

For the first two weeks of July I will only be working on Sunday, July 6th, the rest of the days will be spent on holidays with Chris and the kids. Please contact your warden's in the case of an emergency as they have a list of clergy. If you hear of someone from our community who enters the hospital please consider visiting and saying a prayer with them.

I will also be away on vacation from July 31st through to August 12, returning from Toronto and London, England to repack and head to CLAY in Kamloops, BC with the Youth.

Whenever possible I will be in the office on Thursday's and in the garden on Wednesday's from 4pm - 7pm.

I will not be accessing email on my vacation days.

Enjoy a blessed week!
Pastor Monique
