Featured Vehicle: Harley Davidson

The Harley Davidson needs no introduction. Unless you've been living under a rock you know it's an iconic bike. So instead, we’re going to give you some interesting facts you may not know:

1) William S Harley’s first engine blueprint in 1901 was actually designed to fit on a bicycle.

2) 3 years later they produced the first Harley Davidson in a 10x15 foot shed.

3) The first Harley Davidson used a carburettor made from a tomato tin.

4) In 2010, a Harley XR1200 broke the long distance motorcycle jump world record, jumping 183.7 feet

5) in 1994, Harley filed a trademark for the sound of their engines. This application was cancelled in 2000.

Top Tip: Which Electronic Cleaner?

Ever wondered which of the many electronic cleaners is best for your project?

Use CRC Lectra Clean II when rebuilding alternators, starters and Generators. Lectra Clean works great on shop equipment too, like air tools, battery chargers or grinder motors. This non-flammable, non-conductive aggressive cleaner quickly removes oil grease and dirt from motor parts and equipment without leaving residue.

For more sensitive electronic equipment with plastic housing, our QD Contact Cleaner cleans circuit boards, electronics, contacts, connectors and relay switches and helps prevent contact failure. It’s perfect for small, tight places where you can’t hand-clean electrical contact points. Contact Cleaner is quick-drying, safe on plastics and leaves no residue.
