Garden at 407. This is Lib's notes from 407.
First the TO DO list for next week:
Take care of the garden - hens, worms, compost,
weeds, soil turning, planting cover crops, harvesting, talk about health and be joyfully occupied for two or three hours in community.
We had 18 gardeners. What a GREAT turnout. Check the website http://www.seminoleheightscommunitygardens.org where there is a photo blog, and the facebook page where you can see the photo of some of this weeks workers.

Lin brought the tea grounds from te bella on Davis Island http://www.tebellatea.com/contact-tebella/
Denise brought Sebastian, i love it when youth come to the garden. Eva helped Diane plant sweet potatoes, while Edgar turned the compost which must be done every week - the more often the better. Katja a first timer found plenty to do, Ellen gave the hens a bath to soothe their skin - Curtis looks sensitive to something but she is a naked neck chicken and is expected to have nakedness at least on her neck. Eitan came for the first time and did great work with Marc tightening up the rain tarp. Hurrah - longtime that job needed doing.
Tim,ingrid, Doris, Ocea, Sam, did all manner of tasks including weeding and trimming. You just have to imagine the pic i didnt get of so many figures in a flourishing landscape, and what a great human soundtrack was in the air.
Cindy made the hen house a pleasure to be in - Curtis immediately found her place and laid an egg. We let the hens roam on Saturdays - they aren't full time free range but they are much luckier than battery hens. Margie came late - better late than never. Lib - as usual - was in Paradise, and did the woms.
We seem to be staying til noon.and later - we just love being there. If i didnt mention anyone then you can demand to be mentioned next time. And i swear i will bring my camera.
Libster - representing Gaia-Sophia: Thank you All.
