Our New Departure Date

We received word in July that our entire TIMO Team departure date has been delayed until June 11, 2015 due to construction delays on our houses. We also had two couples commit to our team in the past month so our team is now considered full. The delay will give everyone the time needed to raise support. Our team leader, Zeka is working with the local SAN to build our houses and it is taking longer than expected. He is building relationships with the locals which is crucial before the team moves to Tsumkwe. Watch a short video about this process. To be honest the news was hard for us to take because we have been gearing up to leave the States in January. We totally understand why the delay is necessary and trust God's timing is perfect. We have been seeking God for wisdom on how best to use the extra time.  

Coming this Fall....

We are hitting the road this fall to come see everyone we can before we leave. We would love to spend time with you while we are in your town. We are speaking with churches and small groups across the South. You can host a Taste of Africa Party in your home and let us serve a little of Africa to you. If your town isn't on the list yet, please contact us and we will setup a time to come see you. If you town is listed, we would love to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack with you personally. Please contact us if you would like to get together. Below are confirmed dates as of today.

August 23-24 Lenior City, TN speaking at Dixie Lee Baptist Church Sunday A.M.
September 27-29  Covington, TN speaking at FBC Covington Sunday P.M.
October 11-12  Irmo, SC Taste of Africa Party Saturday Night at The Coppenbarger's home
November 14-16  Tampa, FL  speaking at Grow Life Church Sunday A.M.

A steady pace is good...

As a long distance runner, you train to run a race at a steady pace you can maintain for the duration of the race. This could describe our support raising so far. We have been maintaining a steady pace toward Africa. Many of you have been with us on this journey for awhile and others have just joined. You are all important. We are the Body of Christ here to support each other. We can feel your prayer support each day. Thank you! Our outgoing fund support is picking up speed each month. Thank you! Our monthly support pledges have grown over the past month. Thank You!

To keep the pace going, we need to grow our monthly pledge about 9% a month now. Remember a pledge can start giving now or wait until we leave. Each pledge does add up to our total needs.
A pledge of $11 per month is .25%
                   $22 per month is .5%
                   $43 per month is 1%
