Upcoming Schedule of Events

2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR

Hello Curtis Baptist School Family,

It is with excitement that I am writing this – the first e-newsletter of Curtis Baptist School!  This is only a small example of the steps that we are taking to make our school all that God has intended it to be – excellent in ALL areas.  Because we want to improve in the midst of our 50th year of school, our school wide theme this year is “Press On” (Philippians 4:13).

We have a tremendous teaching staff that has been hired for the 2014/15 school year – all of whom love the Lord and share a desire to challenge, nurture, and love those entrusted to them. We are also in the process of improving our communication and partnership with parents and alumni through a new updated website, a school Facebook page, an e-newsletter, and improved RENWEB use for our school families.

The Academic product will continue to improve through continuous review and professional development in order to provide best practices in the classroom, teacher and student resources, and in curriculum.  A Math and Science initiative has been launched to better prepare our students for college and the growing fields of employment that require excellent skills in Math and Science. In addition, we will undertake two projects in the fall that will require feedback from all parents, students, teachers, and board members. School-wide surveys will take place the end of August, and the development of a 5-year strategic plan will begin in October.

We could not move forward without God’s help and your prayerful support.  I look forward to our first day of school on August 8.  I know that it will be a tremendous year!

Glenn
