As Meléndrez approaches our 30th anniversary, we are passionate about our work, proud of our people, and inspired by our happening metropolis. Though we remain rooted in the quickly evolving Downtown Los Angeles community, our path now joins with internationally recognized landscape architect Charles Anderson, FASLA.
Charles joins Scott Baker and Melani Smith as a Principal in the firm, bringing an international portfolio of award-winning projects which highlight the transformative process of urban ecological systems. His notable projects include the Olympic Sculpture Park of the Seattle Art Museum and the revitalization of the International Peace Gardens on the boarder of Manitoba and North Dakota.
Meléndrez continues its focus on improving the quality of life in the urban environment, with our rich portfolio of private and public sector landscape architecture, urban planning and urban design projects.
Our firm’s current work ranges from urban infill projects in downtown Los Angeles including Metropolis and Wilshire Grand, to the multimodal transformation of key Los Angeles corridors, including Broadway and Figueroa, to our design of the 500 acre Metropolitan Park in Athens, Greece as part of the 3,000 acre Hellinikon Development.
