Managing climate risks to well-being and the economy
A new Adaptation Sub Committee report from the Committee on Climate Change looks at the threats and opportunities from climate change, focusing on the risks to infrastructure, business and public health in England.

The report is also an update on previous analysis on flooding, and considers the current capacity in the emergency response system to handle climate extremes.

Manchester case study for the impact of planting trees
New research shows that Greater Manchester, one of the most populous cities in the UK, could keep temperatures at or below present levels into the 2050s by increasing greenspace by only 10% despite a changing climate.

The data was generated by the University of Manchester and The Mersey Forest.
