TEMP hits 33% of La Pellegrina goal in the first 8 days!

The support we are receiving from early music fans all over the world is amazing- in just eight days we’ve reached 33% of our Indiegogo goal of raising $15,890 to underwrite the La Pellegrina concert and recording! The La Pellegrina concert on September 13 and 14 in Austin, Texas will be the first time in the United States that all six intermedi from the 1589 Medici wedding will be performed, and the resulting recording will be the first U.S. release of this amazingly beautiful music.

Why is this the first complete performance in the U.S.A. in a mere 425 years since La Pellegrina was first performed? Well, this concert is huge on the scale of a usual early music concert- over 60 singers and instrumentalists are needed to cover the repertoire. That’s over three times the number of artists in one of our typical concerts.

That’s why we need your help to pay artists stipends, travel (sadly, central Texas does not have enough lute and sackbut instrumentalists), and CD production costs. To contribute to this project, go to our Indiegogo web page:
