"Yellow Brick Road" was our most successful summer workshop yet. Students wowed the audience with scenes and songs from "The Wiz," "The Wizard of Oz," and "Wicked." It was a fun week, and video will be up on our YouTube channel this week, so be sure to look out for that!

Well, at our summer workshop, that is... :)

On July 22, 23 and 24, we are excited to be holding our first-ever summer workshop for ages 5-7 and 8-11. From 10am-noon @ the fabulous community room in Cardi's Furniture, our youngest performers will have fun playing theatre games, doing improvs, and learning short scenes and songs together. Material will be pulled from "Chicken Little," "The Three Billy Goats Gruff," and possibly other stories. Scripts are written to suit the cast, so each child gets a chance at a part, according to how comfortable they feel performing. This is a perfect way to 'try' a drama class without the longer commitment of putting on a production or committing to a semester-long course. All of our regular discounts apply to our workshops, so if money is an issue, don't hesitate to talk to us. There is still time to join our energetic little group- Register today to reserve your spot!

We have over 24 students registered for ANNIE this fall, but there is still room for more! Students will be given a top-quality experience while exploring the redemptive themes in this classic (and fun!) musical. You can choose the Chorus Class option (1 hour per week), the Lead Roles option (2.5 hours per week) or to be part of the Tech Crew. Register by August 1 to avoid a late fee!
We will be offering ballet classes for all ages, all year! Our older class will be taught by Heather Brown, who has trained with Boston Ballet, and currently teaches at The Dance Factory in Attleboro as well as Spindle City Ballet in Fall River. Read more about Heather on our "Who we are" page. Ballet class sizes are VERY limited, so register early to save your spot.
Classes with A Work in Progress are fun and engaging, and students make life-long memories while being challenged in areas of theatre, film, dance and music. They get involved behind the scenes and present professional-level productions in the end. We don't have enough space to talk about all of the classes we are offering next year, but do know that whichever class you sign up for, it will be a pretty great adventure.
