July 4th

 

 

June is a memory and I hope it was a good sales month for you.  July is upon us, and with the holiday weekend and maybe some vacation time, it’s a short month, so create a plan of actions to make goal - no matter how long the month is.

 

On a more personal note, this weekend, my hometown of New Bedford is brimming with interesting things to do.


 

The Charles W Morgan whaling ship is docked at State Pier until 7/7, so if you are around and haven’t seen it, please make the trip.  I was delighted to attend the Morgan Homecoming Gala and was so inspired – the extraordinary transformation of the State Pier ‘warehouse’ to a red carpet event, the wonderful documentary: New Bedford "Connections" by Kevin Kertscher, the winning bid of $50,000 for Arthur Moniz’ watercolor of the Morgan returning to State Pier by local business owner Ann Bodzioch of Clean Uniforms and More! and the turnout of South coast residents – I cried several times that night, I was so moved by the talent, self-expression, love and commitment of so many people.


 

The New Bedford Folk Festival is Saturday and Sunday with a great line up of music and artists.  And the locally flavored but always enjoyable Cape Verdean Parade is Saturday morning. 
 

In addition to those events and some other gatherings, I am hosting a family barbecue on Saturday night – and anticipating that Arthur will have blown through by then.  I’m looking forward to a wonderful few days and I hope everyone has a safe and ‘over the top’ fun time this holiday weekend.
