Senator Chris Murphy and reSET will host a roundtable discussion on Friday, July 25th at 9:00 am to discuss entrepreneurship in Connecticut.

The Senator realizes that Connecticut and the country depend on entrepreneurs for job creation and economic growth. He would like to hear from you about ways the federal government might better foster innovation and support Connecticut's entrepreneurs. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation with the Senator and guests, an RSVP is required if you would like to attend.

Blog: Benefit Corporations, What Makes Them Different and How are They Setting Connecticut Apart?

"This past legislative session, after two previous tries, the Connecticut General Assembly passed enabling legislation to create a new type of legal entity, called a “benefit corporation.” The benefit corporation is similar to a typical corporation, but with a twist. It provides specific legal protections and transparency measures to businesses that have a mission to help solve a social or environmental problem, which under previously existing corporate law were extremely time consuming and difficult to put in place."  James Woulfe, Public Policy and Impact Investing Specialist

The Hartford Bicycle Studio rebuilds, restores, and recycles bikes. But not the way you might think! Owner and artist Patrick Connolly strives to create something unique and beautiful in every bicycle he restores. Currently on display at reSET is a 1975 Swiss-made Cilo. Come see this woodgrained and gold leaf bike in person, along with other works of art created by Patrick -- many of them bicycle themed -- at the reSET coworking space.
