Summer Camp is in Full Swing
Campers have taken over the 167 acres, and it is awesome!
Close your eyes, picture the morning dew reflecting the beautiful morning sunrise happening in front of you, spanish moss flows quietly in the breeze from the lake, and soft music plays in the background…then the bell tower breaks forth with noise and screaming campers descend upon the dining hall and a day at Summer Camp has started and what a summer it has been! The staff of 25 college aged summer staff have done a great job providing a fun, faith filled, and nurturing environment for all to grow deeper in their faith and strengthen their relationships.
We started strong with our largest group of the summer, so far, on Week 1 and haven't slowed down. Our last 4 weeks of the summer are nearing capacity and we have record breaking numbers in our Leadership Camps. Even though we are nearing capacity, we still have spots available, and you can help us fill up the rest of our summer.
Do you have a son/daughter that needs to get outside and play? How about a grandson/granddaughter that you would like to give them a life changing experience? You can help us fill the last weeks of camp to capacity and make it our best summer yet! Head over to the Summer Camp page on Montgomery's website and take a look at what is still available!

What would you get out of a retreat at Montgomery?

ANY amount of time taken to get away and focus on God will bear fruit in the lives of individuals and the church! With a whole world of needs and possibilities facing us, how do we decide what to give our life and energies to? The Bible has always recognized that believers are uniquely gifted and called to serve the Lord. We believe the same holds true for Christian ministries.

Good Bye to Cal Findeiss
After 6 years at Montgomery, Cal and Meagan head to Austin, TX to attend Seminary
Cal Findeiss started in 2004 as the Music Director for Montgomery's Summer Camp. The following 3 summers he continued to add more and more to the summer camp program and became a Leadership Staff Member. In 2008 Cal became the year round Program Director and has helped shape what Montgomery and its programs are today. Cal will continue to be the Associate Director of Montgomery through the end of the 2014 Summer Camp Program.
Cal and Meagan aren't leaving for any old reason, but one that we, and you, can be excited about! Meagan, his wife, has applied and was accepted to Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX. We couldn't be more excited for them as they start their new adventure.
