Blue Sky Day - Our annual Blue Sky Day this year will take place on Wednesday October 1st at the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga. So far we have almost forty members from across Ontario registered for the event - join your colleagues!
New Board Appointments - Ontario Presents President Colleen Clack is pleased to announce the appointments of Alyson Martin, Sioux Hudson Entertainment Series and Jayson Duggan, Performing Arts Manager, Cultural Services, City of Kingston to the Ontario Presents Board of Directors. Alyson and Jayson replace Sharon Davidson and Cameron Smillie who have resigned from the board. The board also appointed Brian McCurdy as Vice-President to fill that officer’s vacancy. The Annual General Meeting of the membership of Ontario Presents will be convened over lunch at St. Paul’s United Church, Midland, Ontario on Saturday November 8, 2014 at 12 noon. The purpose of the meeting shall be to elect the directors of the board, approve minutes of the previous annual meeting, review the audited financial report for the year ending July 31, 2014 and appoint the network’s auditors.
Municipal Support Survey - The collected data for the biennial Municipal Support Comparison has been compiled into a comparative report and distributed back to sixteen participating members. The next survey will be conducted in 2016.
Consulting - Robert Baird, President of Baird Artists Management Consulting, is now available for consultation and advice regarding Canadian and U.S. regulations and information for performers, agents/managers and performing arts venues. Read more

Arts Day on the Hill - The Canadian Arts Coalition is hosting the 4th annual Arts Day on Parliament Hill on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014. The event is an opportunity for artists, board members of arts organizations and arts managers from all regions of the country to meet with Members of Parliament to talk with them about the value that the arts bring to Canadian communities.
