Farmer's Market

· Avodah Farm -- vegetables

· Locust Lane Vineyards, --locally made vinegars
· Fairhaven Farm -- fruit, jam and flowers
· Papa Tom-- caramel rolls and chocolate chip cookies
· Cottage Gourmets -- bread

Central Presbyterian hosts a mini Farmer's Market, every Wednesday during the summer. The market is held in the dining room from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, to overlap with our Wednesday Lunch, and hopefully, bringing in some new faces.  Vegetables, fruit, jam, vinegars, bread and cookies, all grown and made locally, will be available for sale.  Central is "In the city for good,” and we feel that providing a source for fresh, local foods helps further that mission.  Stop by and help make our new Farmer’s Market a success!

Did you see pictures from the VocalPoint picnic?  It was great to see Central folks there!  Click here!

Women of Central Luncheon

The Women of Central have a tradition of gathering for fun, friendship and good food during the summer. Don't miss this year's lunch, taking place right after church on August 10th. All women of Central are welcome, and it will be a fun way for those who have recently joined to meet those who have been around for a while. Tickets will be on sale for $5 from July 20th- Aug 5th- look for Florence in the Friendship Room after church, or reserve tickets through the church office. You can also buy tickets at the door.

Take me out to the ballgame!

On Thursday, August 21 join Central folks in taking the train all the way to Minneapolis for the Twins/ Indians game at 12:10.  We have a block of tickets ($15 each;  checks made payable to Central); please let the office know if you’d like to go and we’ll set tickets aside for you.  Those who like conversations about important topics might choose to engage Central’s youth about their recent experience near the Red Lake Reservation and how they now view sports nicknames like “The Indians” and mascots.  And all can enjoy outdoor baseball.

If you’d like to ride the train over from the church, meet in front of the church steps at 11 a.m.

Birthday blessings to you!
