45 Day Notice Relating to Ethics and Standards
At its August 7-8, 2014 meeting in Austin, Texas, the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors will decide whether to adopt proposed amendments to the Canons and Ethical Rules of the Code of Professional Ethics (CPE), a proposed Preamble to the Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and proposed Standards of Valuation Practice (SVP).  If adopted, these documents would become effective on January 1, 2015. The proposed amendments to the CPE, proposed Preamble and proposed SVP are not expected to have any financial impact.
