AustCham's Super XV Rugby Grand Final at The Local
Sat, 02/08/2014 - 5:30pm (CST) kick off
The Local, Sanlitun
For map and directions click here
Come down to the Local in Sanlitun this Saturday night to witness Super Rugby history as the Waratahs take on the Crusaders in the 2014 Super XV Rugby Grand Final. With the Waratahs at the top of the table along with the home ground advantage, punters have tipped the Tahs as hot favourites for this Saturday.

This fun family affair will be a great way to socialise with others in the AustCham community and support Australian Rugby. The Waratahs' captain Michael Hooper will go head to head with New Zealand's "all time great" Richie McCaw in McCaw's 8th Super Rugby Grand Final.

The Waratahs will be seeking to right their wrongs from past Final losses to the Crusaders in 2005 and 2008. This is the first time the Waratahs have hosted a Super Rugby Final and Hooper and the squad will be looking to capitalize on the support of a potentially record-breaking home crowd to bring the state its first Super Rugby Title.

This will be the best place to join the Aussie community this Saturday!

AustCham Membership Category Changes
The AustCham Beijing Board of Directors have passed changes to the by laws to compliment the new Articles of Association passed at the AGM in June.  As part of the changes we have simplified the membership categories into two groups: voting and non-voting.

Voting members include:
  • Foundation - RMB 60,000 p.a (3 votes)
  • Corporate - RMB 6,000 p.a
  • Individual - RMB 2,500 p.a
Non-voting:
  • Non-government Organisation - RMB 2,500 p.a
  • Youth - RMB 500 p.a
There will no longer be the need for members to pay for extra nominees as all employees of our members companies will be able to enjoy members benefits.

Also, we will no longer distinguish between Corporate, Associate and Overseas members with all now having voting rights under a broader "Corporate Members" definition.

Please see the full AustCham Beijing By Laws and Articles of Association here. Our GM Nick Coyle welcomes your feedback on any of the changes: nick.coyle@austcham.org
