LAPP alumni reunite with Grinnell professors and alumni volunteers at Grinnell's alumni reunion.
For the second year in a row, we invited former students from the First Year of College Program to campus for the Grinnell's annual alumni reunion. We were also delighted to greet alumni volunteers from the classes of '08-'10 who returned to campus for their first reunion.
LAPP alumni. Top row, from left to right: Kyle Orth, Michael Cosby, Emily Guenther '07, Shawn Guhl, and Joseph Riffey. Bottom row, from left to right: Jason Darrah, John Hammers, and James Mayfield.
LAPP alumni John Hammers, Michael Cosby, Kyle Orth, Professor of German Sigmund Barber, and Program Coordinator Emily Guenther '07 discussed the program with around 60 Grinnell alumni. Listen to an excerpt from Kyle Orth's reflections.
Michael Cosby with his daughter, Sierra, at her high school graduation this spring. During our panel, Michael shared how his experience in the First Year of College Program had affected his family. Listen to his comments.

"I’m the first person to go to college in my whole family, and she’s the next... There will be a change. About twenty years from now, when you look at my family it will look completely different."
