3-12 October 2014
The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, 3-12 October, attracts the biggest names in culture, business, politics and sport. Taking place over ten days in Cheltenham’s Town Hall, Imperial Square and Montpellier Gardens, the Festival hosts a range of talks, workshops, debates, and other entertaining events, such as themed meals and teas in its spectacular Spiegeltent. The Festival also has its brilliant Book It! family programme, which boasts around 100 children’s events designed to celebrate story telling in all its forms.

Sue Ryder Fundraising Target Achieved
Willans has hit its fundraising target of £5,500 for its charity of the year, Sue Ryder. The staff at the company chose the palliative and end of life care specialists and its Leckhampton Court Hospice because of its close ties to the local community. Read more.

The Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) is holding three presentations on its restructuring plans. The presentations will be relevant to different sectors of trade in the town (developers, licensed premises, planning agents, business owners, etc) and particular sectors, providing an overview of the plans and enabling feedback from attendees. Chamber members joined the Cheltenham Town Football Club at the Cricket Festival and benefited from the glorious weather and some fine cricket. We'd like to thank Marie Carter and CTFC for their warm hospitality. A great day out was enjoyed by one and all.
