The Moody Church: Celebrating the
Joy of Changed Lives for 150 Years
During her years in seminary, Angie had the pleasure of serving in the singles group and the missions program at The Moody Church (TMC) in Chicago. She was mentored by godly older saints, including wonderful, seasoned missionaries Don and Alene Dix (who served in Congo for many years and now serve the church and African refugees in the Chicagoland area). When the Lord brought us together as a couple, we were overjoyed that TMC came alongside us to send us out to the foreign mission field. We don’t have any relatives in Chicago, and many of our old friends have moved to other parts of the country (and globe!). But each home assignment, we have the privilege of reporting to our beloved church family of what the Lord has been doing in Senegal through their generous gifts and prayers.
Now, although half way around the globe, we are celebrating the Lord’s faithfulness in preserving TMC for 150 years. Think of how many churches were founded a century and a half ago, and how few of them still proclaim the eternal truth of salvation in Christ alone. Praise God for His grace in preserving this wonderful church in the heart of Chicago. To read more about the history of TMC, click here.
