Hi there,
One of things we sort of obsess about (there are many things) is how long it takes for clients to go from a demo of CB Insights to purchase decision.
Right now, it stands at 20 days. The interesting thing we've noted is that length of time to make a decision doesn't correlate with ticket value. In other words, if folks take longer to decide, it has no tie to revenue.
It could be that we're doing something wrong in our sales process or with our
pricing or maybe that's just the way sales goes, but for those of you with SaaS experience or who are fellow SaaS entrepreneurs selling an expensive'ish SaaS product, I'd love to chat about your experiences and share notes.
Thinking different
In our Sunday newsletter, we highlight 7 articles that our team finds interesting or that our readers send us. They usually have little to do with tech, VC, M&A, etc. Our focus and goal is to highlight interesting, well-written or contrarian stories (often all 3).
We don't always agree with the arguments or the characters of these stories. In fact, we often don't. We've featured stories about the bad behavior of fraternities, why the Ivy League is doomed, why Clayton Christensen is overrated and even one about the Hungarian ex'say at'chay industry (Pig Latin anyone?).
In any case, a couple of folks took offense to one article we highlighted in
last Sunday's newsletter. We just wanted to clarify that we're not endorsing the stories, views or the characters in these articles. They're just interesting in our estimation.
Now for some bar charts.
