Record crowds expected at camp

As SWU gets ready to kick off Never The Same Camp this week, it’s looking like a record crowd with estimated 575 registered. The camp runs through this Saturday. If you're on campus and you see our guests, give them a hearty SWU welcome!

Congratulations

Tommy Bolger, a 1993 SWU education graduate and veteran educator in the Upstate, was named the new principal of Wren Elementary School in Anderson School District One. Bolger was principal at Ravenel Elementary in Oconee County, and was previously assistant principal at Dacusville Elementary. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Bolger moved to the U.S. at age 26, attending SWU on a soccer scholarship.

NAIA announces five SWU programs are Scholar-Teams
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 1,290 athletic programs have been named 2013-14 NAIA Scholar-Teams. Southern Wesleyan placed five teams on the list. Read more>>
SWU to remain NCAA Year One Candidacy Member
Southern Wesleyan University will continue in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) membership process during the 2014-15 year and become members of the NCAA II’s Conference Carolinas beginning with play this fall. Read more>>

The SWU website directory and a printable directory have been updated to reflect recent employee transitions. Please review your directory information and report any changes/corrections to Dana Frost at dfrost@swu.eduSpecial message for supervisors:  For your new employees, contact Ed Welch (ewelch@swu.edu) to arrange for a directory photo. Current employees without directory photos or photos that are out-of-date are also encouraged to update their directory photos. This will help our new employees and new students put faces with names!
