Cargill_Preparation Biofilter Works
BCRG update 14_2014
18 July, 2014
Hi everyone,

This information from Cargill was forwarded to me from Chris Bydder, EPA, 15/07/14.

Cargill would like to advise that refurbishment works have been organised for the biofilter in preparation. This need has arisen due to an increase in back pressure over the past month.
  • Refurbishment will commence on the 3rd July and is expected to take 2 - 3 weeks. This will involve replacement of the existing Biofilter fill material. The process will be staggered to ensure adequate treatment of process air is maintained.
  • Cargill has discussed the refurbishment plan with the Odour Unit in light of the process condition changes since the last odour audit.
  • The refurbishment program aims to ensure continued licence compliance.
