CONFERENCE REPORT
(Los Angeles, CA: July 10-13, 2014)
The Director of CRY OF THE INNOCENT: The Voices That Can’t Speak, Kathleen Lowson, spoke and screened her latest movie trailer at the Animal Rights National Conference, dedicated to the liberation of animals from all forms of human exploitation and abuse. Her presentation was very well received and her work applauded. Stay tuned for a recording of her speech soon!
Important strategic alliances were also made on behalf of the film. Most significantly, Kathleen attended a “closed door†meeting with the City of West Hollywood Council members who were responsible for the precedent-setting ordinance of West Hollywood becoming the first city in the U.S. to ban the sale of fur! Kathleen and the group will be working together to move forward on a plan to target other cities to go fur-free, following in the footsteps of the West Hollywood fur ban victory!
