Hi there,
A couple of months ago, I'd made a claim that sales could be done completely virtually and thus, it was "the end of steak dinners". I'd sold a few million in subscriptions using a trusty phone and web conference solution (I'm an introverted chem engineer/finance nerd and not a natural "sales guy").
So when I went out to San Francisco for PreMoney, I decided to test this hypothesis by meeting a lot of people.
And what I learned was --- I was wrong.
Meeting face-to-face was pretty tremendous. I shared
notes on my San Francisco trip with our team a few weeks ago and figured I'd share it more publicly. I've removed references to individual customers but otherwise, salty language and whatnot remains.
You'll also learn what % of VCs I met with were a-holes.
