272,000 Meals
Reach North Korean Orphans
Back in May, our partner Feed My Starving Children granted us an emergency priority 40-ft container of highly nutritious meals due to the critical food shortage in North Korea. The container reached our warehouse in early June and was immediately shipped to Nampo, North Korea.
On July 12, our shipment of 272,000 meals arrived in North Korea, cleared customs and was delivered to three orphanages that HSICF supports: P'yungsung, Donglim and Oncheon, which serve and care for over 2,100 children. With North Korea facing what many are calling the worst drought in decades, crop yields were well below what is needed to sustain the country. Another 40-ft container is currently in our warehouse ready to be sent out in mid-September.
Through your continued generosity, this image shows that our children are active, happy and nourished. Without your compassion, we would not be able to create these beautiful smiles so we thank you!
