NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 28, 2014) – Larry's Country Diner is a unique down-home variety show which integrates entertainment, interviews and music in a weekly format, taped LIVE in front of a studio audience in a country diner setting. The show, which is Nashville’s only weekly variety show still in production, features regular characters including Larry Black, Keith Bilbrey, Sheriff Jimmy Capps, Waitress Renae and avid church lady, Nadine, along with special guest appearances by country music artists of yesterday and today.

One of the last remaining vestiges of live-to-tape, spontaneous variety programming on television today; the prevailing attitude is “the cameras are always rollin’... and we don’t care.” The fact that plates are dropped or broken during a performance, a rack of knives and forks are dumped on the floor or that some of the lights go out while they are filming only adds to the show’s mystique and contributes greatly to its success.

On August 4th and 5th, Ray Stevens, Margo Smith, Exile, Vince Gill and Paul Franklin, Charlie McCoy, Deana Carter, Mountain Faith, and Collin Raye will tape the next installment of shows in front of the mere eighteen tables at Larry’s Country Diner.

Since its initial airing on August 3, 2009, Larry’s Country Diner has produced over 100 episodes and has become one of the most popular shows on RFD-TV, garnering 1.5 million viewers monthly, and with their additional showing on FamilyNet they continue to grow.  The wholesome menu of entertainment served up by “Larry’s Country Diner” satisfies an unfed marketplace of traditional Country Music fans, regularly garnering top-viewership for ages 50+ in Primetime across all networks. Additionally, tens of thousands of fans across the nation have purchased the DVD series or signed up for the Diner’s “On-Demand” online subscription service.

Currently, there is a 2-year waiting list to be seated in the diner for a television taping, making it one of America’s most-exclusive Country Music “eateries.”
