Fairview Lakes nurses set August 4 informational picket
Nurses represented by the Minnesota Nurses Association at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN, will picket the facility on Aug. 4 to raise public awareness about a potential threat to safe patient care at the hospital and clinics.
"During contract negotiations, it has become clear that Fairview Lakes is attempting to move staffing backward and focus on profit instead of patients," said Bargaining Unit Co-Chair Sandie Anderson.
"We are picketing to call on Fairview Lakes to commit to a contract that protects our patients and nurses and sets staffing levels that are based on nurse input and transparent to the public," said Bargaining Unit Co-Chair Sue Kreitz.
Nurses and supporters will picket the facility from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at 5200 Fairview Blvd in Wyoming.
