Queensland Multicultural Centre Spotlight

As we announced in our first e-news of this year, IFFA will be hosted at the Queensland Multicultural Arts Centre. QMC holds an array of multicultural arts events year round, and we'd like to share a couple of announced events that are happening before IFFA begins in October. Mark your calendars!

26th - 27th July
3:00pm - 7:00pm

Queensland Multicultural Centre

The Pacific Islands Reference Group in association with Brisbane City Council will be hosting this Inaugural Pasifika Film Festival with the intention to showcase the work of various Pacific Islanders and raise awareness in Pacific Island communities around culture and identity as well as topical social issues.

5th September
7:30pm - 9:30pm

Queensland Multicultural Centre

This special concert is part of the Mysteries of Eternity series that Jazzab Ensemble has been hosting throughout Queensland. Lead man, Barbod Valadi has composed and arranged original tunes featuring beautiful lyrics humbly borrowed from classical and modern Persian poets. Barbod has also cleverly re-arranged traditional Persian songs and classic jazz pieces to present a unique repertoire of modern jazz that will take your breath away.
