enewsletter December 2014

Welcome to the December 2014 enewsletter from Celapene Press. We wish you a very happy Christmas and hope that your writing is productive during the festive season.

December has been a busy month as we continue working on the new website. We have received several hundred submissions for Short and Twisted 2015 already and look forward to receiving more in the next few days.

Celapene Press books available for Amazon Kindle

We have started the process of making the majority of our books available for Amazon Kindle. At this stage, the 2013 and 2014 issues of Short and Twisted are available and we will finish the process of making other titles available during January.

Short and Twisted 2015

Submissions for Short and Twisted 2015 close on 31 December 2014. You still have time if you are thinking about submitting.

Consideration of submissions will begin at the start of January and we look forward to reading them and see what new and unusual twists appear this year. Every one who has submitted will be advised whether or not their submission has been successful by the end of March 2015.

Writers are strongly encouraged to read previous issues to see the type of successful submissions.

Short and Twisted 2015 cover photo idea competition

Coming up with new ideas for the cover photo for Short and Twisted is always a challenge so this year we are asking you for your ideas. We do not want you to send us photos or designs, we are only looking for your ideas.

If you have a great idea (remember it must be something short and twisted, although we do consider spirals as "twists"), then let us know you thoughts by sending an email to shortandtwisted@celapenepress.com.au by 31 January 2015. Don't forget to include your name. We are giving away a Short and Twisted gift pack to the person whose idea we use.

Mr Crikey and the Greedy Griffith

We have completed editing for Mr Crikey and the Greedy Griffith, the fourth book in the CRT series by Matt Porter. We received the rough of the cover and the next stage for the cover design is to put in some detail and some colour.

Mr Crikey and the Greedy Griffith will be published during Term 1 in 2015.

Coming up in 2015

Charlotte Duncan Award 2015 - competition entries will open on 1 February 2015 and close on 30 April 2015. Please check the website closer to February for the details.
