Woweee, what a year! December’s come around so soon, but when you look back at the whirlwind that was 2014, it’s no surprise that time’s flown by. It’s been a rollercoaster ride through superstar styling, a second series (#TDG) and Strictly sensations. We’ve seen Peter Pan, park life and a Peanuts partnership. There’ve been top marks at Trinity, tonnes of TV stuff and treading the boards. And that’s without even getting us started on the competitions, collaborations and company we keep. And, above all, there’s been you: the cast and crew who make 4.15 what it is. We’re just not Famous without you, so in true end-of-series clip montage styleee, here are some of your best bits.
Don’t fret though, you don’t have to wait too long for the next exciting episode as the big red Famous doors will open again on 5th January 2015. Well, it wouldn’t be a newsletter without some hot-off-the-press info, would it? And this time round, we’re delighted to announce our Famous 4.15 performing arts award winners!
As you know, everyone’s a star to us, but we know it’s not always easy to stay focused when legs are tired and there are lyrics still to learn. So, last summer, we introduced the awards as a way of helping maintain momentum, and giving an extra special nod to the two people from each class who’ve really gone the extra mile. We like to think they’re pretty prestigious (and our Kat would know - she's seen a few awards ceremonies herself). By the way, if you thought you heard sleigh bells over Famous, don’t worry, you weren’t dreaming. We had theatre company extraordinaire and longtime friend to Famous, Northern Stage in the house a few weeks back. Get Santa is their brilliant 2014 Xmas production. It’s on until 27th December, so if you’ve not already got your ticket - tsk…what have you been doing?! - hitch a ride on your nearest reindeer and check it out. From the sneak preview we saw, it’s gonna be a goodie.
And finally, just in case you’re still stuck for stocking fillers, don’t forget to check out the Famous merch. As well as the distinctive Famous dance kit, we’ve got bespoke 4.15 buddy bands to suit every wrist – what price cool, eh? Well, just a fiver actually!
What’s more, after months of special requests, we’ve only gone and got you some Famous leggings! Not only do they look awesome but they’re also quite stretchy, so after your last Xmas class you can hit up a mince pie or two – go on, you’ve earned it!
