This issue of the eNews is being sent to over 250 people - nearly 50% more than this time last year - and this time next year we hope to be sending the eNews to over 500 people - please forward to a friend and help get us off to a flying start!

Our projects and services...

Bike Path upgrade: the environmental improvements on the bike path from Whiteinch to Yoker started earlier this month and a lot of trees and over hanging vegetation has been cleared. We have set up a blog, an online map and a Twitter hashtag to keep you up to date! And we will be having a week of celebration activities in March when the works have been completed!

Make volunteering your New Year's resolution: Getting in shape, drinking less and stopping smoking are some of the top New Year’s resolutions, but many people struggle to keep up with these resolutions through the dark, rainy days of January. So why not make volunteering your New Year's resolution!

Volunteer information sessions: if you want to find out about volunteering with us then pop along to one of our monthly volunteer information sessions or check out the opportunities on our website.

Green Gym in Yoker: we will be helping out the Green Gym and the volunteers from Sustrans on the bike path near Dykle Road bridge on Wed 28 Jan - fancy joining us?

WH Malcolm energy recovery plant: following on from the public consultation several local people attended a site visit to the see the current arrangements and the proposed location of the energy from waste plant. The planning application is expected to be submitted late Jan / early Feb.

Donate your bike! if you were lucky enough to get a new bike for Xmas then please consider donating your old bike to De'ils On Wheels and we will make sure it finds a new home.

Neighbourhood Improvement Volunteers: thanks to those people that came along to one of our events or expressed an interest in the NIV scheme - if you want to find out more about becoming a NIV then please get in touch!

Pass It On Week 2015: a week dedicated to encouraging people to get involved in re-use activity of all shapes and sizes. It could be swapping, sharing, repairing, upcycling or buying second hand. More info coming soon!

Environmental Issues: tell us what you think about local environmental issues. We have had over 100 responses so far which will help inform the work we do - it will only take a few minutes to complete the survey! #getinvolved
