Looking back on 2014, all I can say is WOW!  We have had a great year!!!
Thanks so much to all of you who continue to come out to the G.A.R. Hall to support the performing arts here in N.E. Ohio through the Voices in the Valley program.  We have had a year filled with amazing performances and talent.  This year we expanded our offerings of national touring acts while continuing our love and support of great artists here in our own region.

Some of the highlights included stops by touring artists, Lindsey Lou & the Flatbellys, Ralph Armstrong with our own John Reynolds, Mandolin Orange, Willie Watson, Dom Flemons, Griffin House, The Stray Birds, The Downhill Strugglers with folk legend John Cohen, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason and The Honey Dewdrops.  Every Friday our Northeast Ohio musicians took the spotlight, with solo acts, duos, bands and song writer circles. It is wonderful to see the support and enthusiasm of the local music scene from devoted fans and foks who love live music.

If you love a good song, you will want to catch our Ten on Tuesday program hosted by Erik Urycki of The Speedbumps which meets every third Tuesday each month. We are slowly building a circle of songwriters who enjoy and support one another's music.  Come join us, the first act is at 7:30.

Plans for Voices in the Valley are underway for 2015 and it looks like the program is only going to grow.  Looking forward to welcoming you all back to the Hall to spend an evening of good times and good music with us!
We have had a December to remember with some really special shows.
On December 14th we were proud to host the Rhondas Reunion to a SOLD OUT packed house.  It was a night to remember for sure.  We are hopeful to be able to do this show again in 2015. Thanks to our friend Ron Taggert from Printing Concepts and his group of friends for sponsoring this show.

The Ohio City Singers brought their Christmas Party to town on December 20th, and what a party it was.  With front men Chris Allen, Austin Walkin' Cane and Brent Kirby pounding on the skins, this band is sure to be great!  We are already looking at a date or dates to have them again next Christmas.
If you aren't in the holiday mood at the end of this show you never will be!
Special thanks to Dirty Phoenix Productions, Ad Source and
JAS Property Investments for sponsoring this great show.

Speaking of friends, on December 27th, life long friends and musicians,
Jim Ballard, Jon Mosey, Charlie Wiener and Alex Bevan come back for another song writers circle.  We hosted this event in 2013 and it was one of the highlights of the year.  Tickets are only $7 pre-sale. You can purchase them on line at www.peninsulahistory.org or by calling 330-657-2528
If you haven't made your plans for New Years Eve, you are invited to join us at the G.A.R. Hall for a great night of music!
Last year Hey Mavis hosted a Hootenanny for us to ring in 2014.
We had so much fun we decided to do it again!
Plans for this year include Hey Mavis playing a set and then inviting their friends to join them on stage for a "Hootenanny".
Guest performers will be Hal Walker, Tina Bergmann and Roger Hoover!
A $35 ticket includes general admission for the show, "good" munchies
to snack on and a champagne toast at midnight.
Come join us as we celebrate!
