2014: Change, Not Charity 

We believe in sustainability. We believe in projects that create long term change, and show our partner children that they can be active participants in their well-being, and have the same opportunities as any other child in the world.

In 2014 , we launched several projects, as well as focused on our existing ones, to analyze what works and what doesn't, what we can improve on, and most importantly, what we can replicate to bring further change to more children.  We are happy to report that we have 11 projects currently running; for a comprehensive list with photos and details, you can view the following PDF from our site: Current Projects. 

Here are some highlights from this year: 


Got Milk? Our partner children at the Flying Kites home in Kenya sure do, all thanks to the funding of our Dairy Cow farm this year. Not only are the children intaking more milk (and yogurt!), the excess milk from the cows will be sold in the market to help pay for maintenance for the project as well as some school fees. 



How about these big, beautiful Tilapia coming from our Aquaponics farm in Honduras - a farm that is adding healthy fish and veggies to transform the diet of over 30 children living at the HHK home. 

We are equally excited to announce that our solar panel installation in Liberia has been successfully completed, even with some serious delays due to the Ebola crisis currently in the country. Fortunately, our partner home has not been affected. Instead, we are confident that the project will bring joy in a very gloomy time, as the home will be able to save enough money in energy costs to feed the children three meals a day, as opposed to two!

We could not have done this without you. By supporting one of our projects, you have invested in a long term initiative that creates powerful change and continues to give back and empower the children we work for. We are thankful to have such a dedicated list of supporters who not only believe in us, but believe in the children and their immense potential to lead healthy, happy lives, given the right tools to do so.
