What Were Your People Challenges in 2014?
What Will They be this Year? |
Dear <<First Name>>,
Looking back over 2014, what were the big people challenges that you faced in your organisation? Was it hard to recruit the best employees, or did you struggle to find ways to keep them? Or perhaps you had problems with getting the best from your people?
Whatever the main challenges were, now is a good time to look back and see what you learnt from them. It is also a great time to think about what challenges you may face this year and how best to deal with them. This issue of Pep Talk deals with some of the more common problems and will show you where to find some solutions.
Best wishes for a wonderful 2015,
Michelle Prescott

Here are just three challenges you might have to face this year:
Generation Z has arrived! You’ve heard about Generation X and Generation Y, but now you need to know about Generation Z. These people were born between 1995 and 2010 and they are fast moving and ambitious. Is your business ready for them?
Pension auto-enrolment. All UK businesses now have to provide a company pension. The start date depends on the size of your business, so you may already have set yours up. But if you haven’t, do you know your start date and what you need to do?
Social media recruitment. In 2014, social media was already becoming popular for recruitment and it is set to increase. More small businesses will use blog posts and social media updates to stand out and help them attract the top talent. It has been estimated that 58% of employees are more likely to apply to a company that uses social media.
I hope that hasn't added too much to your list of challenges for 2015! Have a great year!
