Every November, I auction off a number of editorial consultations on behalf of my beloved Park Slope United Methodist Church. This year, I'm offering TEN consultations -- each one an hour of my editorial time, which buyers can use for general critique, plot discussion, query advice, a publishing strategy session -- whatever you choose! A picture-book writer could get a whole manuscript line-edited; a novelist could get a close read of their first ten pages. Heck, a writing group could buy one and have me call in to their meeting for a Q&A! I genuinely enjoy these sessions, and I'm up for whatever you want and need. Winners also receive a signed copy of my book The Magic Words: Writing Great Books for Children and Young Adults.
