Umbrella Festival
gigs in our Patch!

It’s been great to see Adelaide get behind this new month-long Winter Music Festival, and the live gigs continue around town for another two weeks. In the City South precinct, the Crown & Sceptre Hotel is the hotspot with punk bands Profiteers, No Curses and Glass Indian on Friday July 29, and five local groups coming together for Ceremony – A Tribute to Joy Division and New Order on Saturday July 30. The following week, The ‘Sceptre host an epic Alt-Pop festival called Snow Jam with 2 stages and 28 acts coming together over Friday August 6 and Saturday August 7.
For something entirely different, check out the Thrive Festival at The Market Shed on Holland on Saturday August 6 from 10.30am. You’ll experience acoustic music, DJs, yoga, workshops, wellness panel, food stalls and markets all day with funds raised going to charity.
For all the details, check out the Umbrella Festival website here

SALA Festival in
City South

There are 15 venues within the City South Precinct participating in this year’s South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival and as an avid supporter of the Arts in our patch, we congratulate these venues for getting involved and promoting new and established artists.
With so much happening statewide, the SALA Program can be a daunting document to sort through. So to make things a little easier, we have done the hard work of going through and finding all the spots where you can experience the Festival within the City South patch this August.
On the City South website (click here), you'll find a rundown of the venues, dates, & art types as well as links to the SALA website for more info. Get amongst it!
