Workshops
Our upcoming Studio workshops will deliver some beautiful projects as always.
If you have purchased a Mimmic Starter kit at one of the hobby exhibitions or have simply been promising yourself to get started on your pewter journey we have two beginner workshops coming up in September and October. In the beginner workshop we complete two projects covering the fundamental techniques in pewter work. I love seeing the expression on new students faces when they see their finished projects. Remember if you already have the starter kit you are most welcome to join us and the price of the kit will be deducted from the course fee.
Our Face workshop will be held on a weekday at the end of September to accommodate many who cannot make Saturdays.
This month will also see another Filigree Cut-out workshop. This will be the last Filigree cut-out workshop where we do the cut-out heart on the art journal. If you have been wanting to do this workshop and have been putting it off, complete the booking form without delay as this class fills up quickly.
Our new stencil workshop was well attended and enjoyed. There are two dates available for this easy but rewarding workshop.
With many showing an interest in the copper patina process we will be doing the technique packed, Key Techniques Workshop again. As the name describes this workshop covers all the various techniques in the pewter process including low relief, high relief, engraving, raising with cardboard, using textures, stencils and how to achieve brilliant results with copper patina.
If you have some pewter projects you've been wanting to finish or if you need help with a particular project, the Exploring Pewter workshop is a general workshop where you can work on your project with guidance in a relaxing environment with other pewterers enjoying what we love to do best.
