Well what a year 2016 has been so far and sadly, it seems that it will be one to remember for all the wrong reasons. It feels like not a day goes by with out another story of senseless violence, killing and hatred. It would be all to easy to become despondent - after all humanity should be moving forward yet it feels like we are going back.

However, its worth remembering amongst all the pain and sadness we see on a daily basis there are people all over the world performing big and small acts of kindness, love and hope. For our part it's inspiring to see our UK Schools Programme in action and the dedication that the young people show in both their tireless fundraising and the building work that they do in Romania. Not to mention all our donors, supporters, fundraisers and Business against Poverty members who are a constant support and source of encouragement to us and the projects. We may feel as one person we can't do anything, but nothing could be further from the truth; for example the 1 on 1 relationship of Child Sponsorship really does change a child's life and give them hope for the future. We hope that this newsletter will be a reminder of the good that still exists in the world.
