Summer Holidays!

It’s that time of year when everyone is itching to get away from the office and some of our staff have already left the building.  If you’re heading out as well, Enjoy!

Yirgacheffe AQ1 by Heleanna, washed, Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, 4 bags, $5.30/pound: Peach, black tea. Citrus on the wet smell. Very nice stone fruit. Nice, structuring citric acidity. Medium+ sweetness. Clean cup.  - 88 points.
 

Kochere Gr. 1 by Heleanna, washed, Kochere, Ethiopia, 26 Bags $5.50/pound: Fruited - raspberry on the nose. Citrus, florals presenting themselves in the cup. Nice, fruited and balanced cup. Very elegant. - 88.25 points.
 

Guji Gr. 1 by Heleanna, washed, Guji, Ethiopia, 77 Bags $4.60/pound: Watermelon, candied citrus. Candied milk chocolate and florals on the wet smell. Excellent transparent flavors - stone fruit and watermelon.- 88 points.

 Featured coffees Europe & Asia:

Kochere Gr. 1 by Heleanna, washed, Kochere, Ethiopia, 2016: Intensely fruited - stone fruit. Very pretty wet smell, citrus and stone fruit. Good amount of bergamot in the cup. Vibrant and fresh. - 88 points.

Yirgacheffe
AQ1 ref 138 by Heleanna, washed, Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, 2015:  Black tea and peach. Floral and elegant wet smell. Citrus and florals on break. Milk chocolate, melon and lemon. Still very much alive, with great acidity and complexity. 
 - 87.5 points.

Granitos de Oritz by Omar Calderon, Costa Rica: An intense aroma of berries, apples and cinnamon is followed with a cup full of blackberries and a jammy mouth feel. - 85.5 points

Cup of Excellence Honduras #19, La Colmena by Angel Arturo Paz: a spicy aroma complemented by compote, orange peel and Fuji apples. In the cup we find a sparkling green apple acidity that finishes with milk chocolate.  - 87.5 points
