Welcome Back!

Greetings, advisers!

We have an exciting school year ahead of us. Hopefully, your summer break was full of the rest, relaxation and rejuvenation you deserve. This year, I am looking forward to learning even more about your chapter successes and FBLA integration in your classrooms. As we prepare to take Tennessee FBLA to new heights in membership growth, leadership development, and competition preparation, I am extremely motivated to support you in best serving our student members. Are you ready to create your #LegacyofLeadership?

Let's go!

Steven J. Mitchell, MS, MAEd
Tennessee FBLA State Adviser

Preparing the Ready Student

In what seems like a monumental task, all teachers strive to create the “ready student." Ready students leave their high school classrooms not only educated, but they are ready to make a difference in their communities. Ready students are prepared for a four-year college experience, a two-year college experience, a technical school experience, an apprenticeship, or a career.

A “ready student” is carefully prepared by educators like you through a variety of outlets and resources, and one of the most influential outlets is FBLA. FBLA encourages learning, challenges students to excel, and enhances 21st century skills. With the start of a new academic year, please encourage your students to join FBLA today!

Please visit FBLA.org and FBLATN.org to learn new ways to bring business and education together at your school.

New Tennessee FBLA Regions by County

In an effort to better serve the students of Tennessee FBLA, the Tennessee FBLA executive committee has approved the following changes to be made to the regional structure in preparation for an earlier state leadership conference in March and to allow the top seven competitors in each regional-level event to advance to SLC.
